About FTC Innovation

FTC Innovation is a leading telecom and infrastructure contractor delivering end-to-end solutions across Canada and the United States. Our services include Outside Plant (OSP), Inside Wiring (ISW), structured cabling, wireless deployments, and low voltage systems such as CCTV and access control, as well as MDU (multi-dwelling unit) programs and full civil construction (including HDD, trenching, hydrovac, and restoration). We are a fast-growing, execution-focused organization with strong in-house capabilities across engineering, construction, and network deployment.

Position Overview

Responsible for driving growth in emerging markets by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, and leading the end-to-end proposal process for key accounts across Canada and the United States. Conduct ongoing market analysis and competitive assessments to evaluate positioning, identify industry trends, and support business growth initiatives within the FTTx sector.

Lead the development of complex commercial proposals, including solution design, pricing strategy, cost modeling, stakeholder coordination, and executive-level presentations. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, finance, and leadership teams to deliver competitive, high-quality submissions that align with client objectives and organizational goals.

Utilize Salesforce to manage opportunity pipelines, forecast revenue, track business development activities, and maintain visibility throughout the sales lifecycle. Provide leadership and mentorship to a business development support team, ensuring efficient execution of proposal development, market research, and client engagement activities while driving continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Opportunity Identification & Pipeline Development

  • Monitor and identify relevant RFPs across Canada and the United States
  • Maintain a structured pipeline of upcoming and active opportunities
  • Track opportunities across telecom, MDU, civil, and infrastructure sectors

Qualification & Strategy

  • Evaluate opportunities for strategic fit, capacity, and profitability
  • Support leadership in go/no-go decisions
  • Contribute to bid strategy and positioning

Proposal Development & Submission

  • Lead the preparation and submission of RFP responses
  • Coordinate with internal teams including operations, finance, and leadership
  • Develop proposal documents, pricing inputs, and execution approaches
  • Ensure compliance with all client and regulatory requirements

Positioning & Content Development

  • Clearly communicate FTC’s capabilities, including end-to-end delivery and execution model
  • Tailor submissions to align with client priorities and evaluation criteria

Market Awareness

  • Track industry trends, procurement activity, and upcoming projects
  • Support identification of industry events and business development opportunities

Qualifications

  • Experience in proposal management, bid management, or RFP coordination
  • Background in telecom, construction, or infrastructure sectors preferred
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes (public and/or private sector)
  • Excellent written and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
