    • Apply deep substation design expertise across layout, analytical studies, lighting, power cables, and station service power.
    • From 12 kV to 500 kV.
    • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop engineers, engineers-in-training, technologists, and technical staff.
    • Electrical Systems & Asset Management*.
    • Registered, or eligible for immediate registration, as a professional engineer with the Engineers and Geoscientists of BC.
    • Regulators and the asset owner.
    • May be required to remotely support design work throughout the province.
    • Responsible for the portfolio management and coordination of assigned design projects.

Avanciers is hiring an Analog Layout Engineer. You will work closely with layout engineers and RF designers to develop transistor-level layouts for high-performance RF and analog integrated circuits.

Job Title: Analog Layout Engineer.

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada

Required Qualifications

  • Must be located within commuting distance of Burnaby, BC, Canada, or willing to relocate
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 4 years of IT experience
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in custom RF/analog layout for RF transceivers
  • Experience in deep sub-micron CMOS technologies (FinFET: N5, N3, N2 or advanced nodes)
  • Proficiency in Calibre tools (DRC, ERC, LVS, etc.)
  • Experience with Cadence Virtuoso Layout XL
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Device matching techniques
  • Parasitic minimization
  • RF shielding and high-frequency routing
  • RC delay, electromigration, coupling effects
  • Guard rings, DNW, PN junctions
  • Process effects (LOD, WPE, etc.)

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with design teams
  • Ability to work in cross-functional engineering environments
