About us:

Founded in 2007, Pures College of Technology is a registered private career college under PCC act 2005 and also is designated as a learning institute for foreign students.

By 2015, Pures College and Northern College of Applied Arts and Technology established a partnership to deliver high quality programs to international students in our Toronto locations. Northern College of Applied Arts and Technology is a public funded college established on 1967. Pures College and Northern College established a strategic partnership in order to expand the international market by representing Ontario’s private and public post-secondary education brands. The two parties aim to enhancing the international students experience in Ontario, Creating skilled and talented workers and also driving the economic growth.

Job description:

Pures College of Technology is looking for outstanding individuals to join our faculty team. We invite applications for part-time faculty to teach the following course: Healthcare Management. If you have the qualifications and experience to teach these courses, we invite you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver quality classroom instruction in lecture and/or laboratory format based on the approved curricula
  • Implement and manage company policies and procedures such as attendance, grade reports, midterm reports, student advising forms, and all other assigned educational materials on a timely basis
  • Timely completion and submission of all grade books and marking of all tests, examinations and assignments
  • Participate in faculty/staff meetings, committee meetings, professional development workshops, graduation ceremonies, and other school functions as requested

Qualifications :

  • Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management or Healthcare Administration and certification as a Registered Health Information Technician or Registered Health Information Administrator required.
  • Familiar with the Canadian public health system and the healthcare industry.
  • Minimum 3 years’ healthcare management teaching and industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of electronic healthcare record systems. Must possess an understanding of instructional technology.
  • Must demonstrate continuing professional development related to the role of a healthcare management professional.
  • Prior teaching experience in a college or university setting; practical experience in the Healthcare Management field.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development, implementation and assessment.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach within, and contribute positively to, a diverse, multi-ethnic, multicultural student population and campus environment.
  • Letters of recommendation (all should be professional references and at least one from a recent superior) required.
