The Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA) is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the key role of Project Manager – Capital Projects.

What We Do

We are an integrated health system providing the full continuum of care to the six communities of the western James Bay coast with over 500 employees, physicians, and partners in care. Who You Are

• Sound project planning, development and implementation skills.
• Ability to establish partnerships and collaborative work environment in order to reach consensus and effectively manage client and diverse teams of internal and external advisors
• Strong negotiating, communications, and presentation skills
• Outstanding computer skills, including MS Office Suite and Project Management software

What You’ll Do

• Under the leadership of the Vice President Capital Redevelopment and Support Services and Capital Directors deliver assigned project(s) in accordance with approved scope, budget and staging plan
• Assume responsibility for the project management of the project(s) from the initial due diligence phase through transaction, construction, commissioning, to final close-out, and transfer of responsibility to operations, on time, on budget and in compliance with quality criteria
• ·Manage to project budget(s) and schedule(s) and ensure compliance with Ministry of Health, Indigenous Services Canada and Infrastructure Ontario’s standards and procedures
• Provide comprehensive project management oversight throughout the planning, construction, commissioning and final completion phases of each project
• Manage project change processes in accordance with the Ministry of Health and Infrastructure Ontario’s standards and documentation requirements

What You Bring

• Post secondary college or university education in a related discipline, e.g. Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, and/or Architecture or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of project schedules, costing, budgets, technical requirements, change orders, and financial matters pertaining to project planning and implementation.
• Knowledge of Alternative Financing and Procurement / P3 is desirable.
• Knowledge of the Ministry of Health’s Capital Planning Process and reporting is preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to communicate in the local native Cree language is an asset

Salary:$110,214.00 - $125,580.00

Pay: $56.52-$64.40 per hour
