Position Highlights
This is an opportunity for a Work Program Manager for the Hazards Program team within the PCM Stations Program
Department.

A Full time Temporary Work Program Manager is required for program and project management for Reactive Equipment
team responsible for delivery of regulatory, capital and maintenance programs for Substations Reactive Equipment. Work
includes power transformer Life Extensions, Leak Repairs and environment remediation activities

What you'll do

  • Define and implement programs & projects within established budget, scope and schedule, all while meeting quality,
safety and reporting requirements using program management principles.

  • Work with stakeholders to plan, prioritize, estimate and schedule program work, including developing program
documentation to initiate and accomplish program objectives.

  • Maintain strong relationships and high levels of engagement with delivery partners to guide work from initiation through to
completion, particularly with Engineering, Operations, Powertech, Supply Chain, Environment, Indigenous Relations, and
Safety.

  • Oversee the work of external delivery partners for engineering, project management and construction management.

  • Develop, implement and manage multi-year contracts; oversee contractor performance and supplier relationship
management; approve commitments and manage finances within assigned programs.

  • Manage implementation of the programs and monitor progress to ensure the work is carried out in the most cost-effective
manner using program management principles. This includes reporting on forecasts, variance and risk/issues, manage
issues and program changes within governance frameworks.

  • Use quality assurance principles to assess completed program work and close programs.

  • Investigate and analyze challenging problems which may be unique to the programs, evaluate risk and apply innovative
solutions in collaboration with delivery partners.

  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize efficiency and delivery of programs.

  • Lead initiatives to improve processes and procedures related to the delivery of work across multiple programs.

  • Seek new technology, processes and products that will improve the delivery of current and future work.

What you bring



  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Applied Sciences, Business or equivalent. Candidates with
alternative skillsets, and/or demonstrating a combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.

  • Five or more years of progressive related experience including delivery of projects/programs or work, with experience
managing contractors (preferably in a utility, engineering or construction environment).

  • Well-developed communication, facilitation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills along with demonstrating planning,
organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • PMP Designation is considered an asset.

  • Experience in compliance or regulatory environments is considered an asset.
