Brake Press Operator / Fabricator

Job Overview

We're hiring a skilled brake press operator and fabricator to join our manufacturing team. In this role you'll form, fabricate, and assemble metal components to precise project specifications. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience operating fabrication equipment, and takes pride in producing high-quality work in a fast-paced shop. You'll work on a wide range of projects—from structural components to custom assemblies—and help uphold our reputation for quality in manufacturing and construction.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements
  • Operate press brakes, CNC laser table, shear and other fabrication equipment
  • Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure precise cuts and assemblies
  • Rig and lift heavy components safely using cranes or forklifts as needed
  • Assemble fabricated parts to specification while meeting quality standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following cutting and material-handling safety protocols
  • Support construction and custom fabrication tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating a press brake, with the ability to accurately read blueprints and schematics
  • Solid working knowledge of fabrication processes, machinery operation, and assembly techniques
  • Familiarity with press brakes, plasma cutting, machining tools, rigging, crane and forklift operation, calipers, hand tools, and power tools
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Knowledge of manufacturing standards related to ductwork or construction is an asset
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting while maintaining safety standards
  • Prior experience with schematic reading and assembly preferred

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
