Operations Manager – Trucking Division

Location: Carrot River, Saskatchewan
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy trucking division based in Carrot River, SK. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating logistics, managing drivers, and ensuring efficient and compliant fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily trucking operations, ensuring timely pickup and delivery of loads
  • Plan, schedule, and dispatch loads efficiently to maximize productivity
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime
  • Manage and support drivers, including scheduling, communication, and performance
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with E-Logs (electronic logging devices) and regulatory requirements
  • Handle logistics coordination, including route planning and load optimization
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new drivers and staff members
  • Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and compliance
  • Troubleshoot operational issues quickly and effectively
  • Promote a safe and positive work environment

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in trucking, transportation, or logistics management
  • Strong knowledge of fleet operations and dispatching
  • Familiarity with E-Logs and transportation regulations
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with scheduling and logistics software is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license (Class 1/A is an asset but not required)
