Full job description

Blue Collar Modular Housing (BCMH) is looking for experienced modular installation labourers to work on upcoming projects throughout Western Canada. Blue Collar installs and demobilizes temporary and permanent structures, including housing, remote camps, offices, field units and modular schools.
Some of the job duties include: exterior crane setting, roofing, framing, foundations, stairwells, walkways, interior finishing, flooring, walls, interconnects, and on site general labour etc. Previous experience with the above duties is required.

Applicant must be a team player with a strong work ethic and have an exemplary safety record. Must have good communication skills and work well with both clients and co-workers.
All applicant must meet the following criteria:
  • Pass a standard drug and alcohol test,
  • Pass an industry related physical fitness test,
  • Be eligible to legally work in Canada,
  • Valid Driver’s Licence with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Have the following certifications:
    • CSTS- Construction Safety Training System
    • First Aid Level One
    • H2S Alive
    • Fall Protection
    • Transportation of Dangerous Goods
    • WHMIS
    • S100
    • Bear Aware

Supervisory skills are an asset and will be given priority.

Our services include modular construction, camp installation, setup or demobilization and maintenance. Blue Collar has been operating since 1983. Our trained staff includes machine operators, carpenters, plumbers, safety personnel (National Construction Safety Officers) and project managers. Blue Collar maintains a well-equipped and organized tool inventory and our safety record meets and exceeds industry standard. Blue Collar services the construction, oil and gas, mining, energy, housing and forestry sectors.
