Division Overview:

Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees, and teas as well as new energy drinks. Crown Beverage leads the packaging industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans. With a large printable surface area and a wide range of sizes, shapes and decorating options, our aluminum cans are the perfect packaging format to create compelling brand presence where it counts. Here is your chance to join the Crown Beverage Division.

We currently have an opening for a Front End Operator at our manufacturing facility located in the Foothills Industrial Park in South East Calgary. This facility manufactures aluminum cans for the beverage industry. This position will perform a variety of mechanical adjustments, maintenance, repairs, installation, and modification of manufacturing equipment for the production and manufacture of aluminum cans of the highest quality. Other responsibilities would include, but are not limited to the following:

Safety & Quality minded with willingness for excellence required in all aspects of the job

Responsible for the operation of one or more automated machines or equipment for the production of aluminum cans

Must keep lines flowing, make continuous quality checks, & minor adjustments to conveyor belts and various factory equipment

Accurate and continuous quality checks and recordkeeping required

Understand and follow verbal instructions for completion of assigned tasks

Keeps Production Supervisors/Managers informed of operational status of equipment and production issues

Follows standard operating procedures

Must be able to work effectively in a team environment

Performs other related duties as required

Keeps work area safe, clean, and organized

Job Requirements

Formal education/training or on the job training working on mechanical components such as pumps, conveying, motors, gearboxes, belts, pulleys etc. is a definite asset. If this is you, please apply!

3+ years of production experience as well as knowledge of production equipment and mechanical operations in a manufacturing environment

Valid forklift license

Able to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time

Effective and proven communication skills (both written and verbal)

Knowledge and work history of focusing on quality and safety in every aspect of the job

Mechanically inclined

Understanding of line continuity

Must be able to work twelve (12) hour shifts, rotating day and night shift on a 4 on – 4 off schedule

Must have impeccable time and attendance

Must have the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion and regularly stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

Must have attention to detail
