Job Description
The industry leader in play and recreation products has an opening for a playground designer in Calgary, AB. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented designer to join our dynamic team.

Desired Skills and Experience

A minimum of 1 year of AutoCAD, SketchUp and Excel experience is a must. Previous experience with estimating and/or job costing would also be a strong asset.

Responsibilities

The candidate will work remotely out of their home office. Training will take place at Park N Play Design’s head office. The candidate will report to the Design Manager. Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and objectives via phone, email and Slack
  • Design unique and exciting playgrounds in AutoCAD and/or SketchUp, working closely with the sales reps to make their visions come to life.
  • Design playgrounds, dog parks, natural play spaces, outdoor classrooms, fitness areas, parkour courses and other outdoor amenity areas.
  • Revise designs based on feedback from clients and team members to ensure satisfaction.
  • Contact external suppliers and manufacturers for quotes/estimates as required.
  • Prepare costing documents using excel for each design and/or quote requested.
  • Working closely with head office to ensure all required documents are completed properly and accurately.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
