About the job

The LOGO.com engineering team seeks exceptional Canadian developers who thrive on continuous growth and technical excellence. We're building logo and brand creation tools that empower millions of entrepreneurs worldwide to launch their dream businesses. If you're someone who constantly pushes boundaries, questions the status quo, and treats every project as an opportunity to level up your skills, we want to hear from you.

We've built the tools that power entrepreneurial dreams - from our intelligent logo editor and AI-integrated design platform to our suite of business tools and intuitive site builder. You'll join a team of dedicated engineers who collaborate across disciplines to solve complex problems, architect scalable solutions, and ship products that genuinely impact how businesses come to life.

What You'll Do

  • Drive innovation through code - Ship high-impact features while constantly exploring new technologies and methodologies to improve our products and processes
  • Elevate the team - Participate in rigorous code reviews, share your learnings, mentor colleagues, and actively seek feedback to grow together
  • Champion bold ideas - Your voice matters here. Propose ambitious solutions and take ownership of initiatives that directly impact millions of users
  • Pursue engineering excellence - Write clean, performant code while refactoring legacy systems. Leave every part of the codebase better than you found it
  • Stay close to users - Collaborate with customer support to understand pain points, implement solutions, and turn user feedback into product improvements
  • Never stop learning - Dedicate time to exploring emerging technologies, contributing to technical discussions, and expanding your expertise

Must Haves

  • Proven track record - Strong portfolio demonstrating your evolution as an engineer and the impact of your work
  • Senior-level fullstack expertise - Demonstrated ability to architect complex systems, mentor others, and drive technical decisions. This could come from professional experience, significant open source contributions, or a CS degree combined with substantial project work
  • Deep expertise in our core stack: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, SQL, and Node.js - not just familiarity, but mastery
  • Growth mindset - Evidence of continuous learning, whether through side projects, open source contributions, or technical writing
  • LLM integration experience - Hands-on work implementing AI features in production environments
  • Engineering craftsmanship - Strong problem-solving skills, self-directed learning ability, and excellent technical communication

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with Next.js in production environments
  • Polyglot programming background (C++, Rust, Python, Go, etc.) demonstrating versatility
  • Track record of building and scaling production systems on AWS, GCP, Cloudflare, or Vercel
  • Open source contributions or technical blog posts
  • Experience with performance optimization and system design at scale

We're looking for engineers who:

  • Regularly contribute to open source or maintain personal projects
  • Stay current with industry trends and actively experiment with new technologies
  • Seek out challenging problems rather than comfortable solutions
  • View code reviews as learning opportunities, not checkboxes
  • Can articulate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly
  • Actively seek feedback and transform it into tangible improvements

Benefits

  • Unlimited PTO - Minimum vacation policy with additional time off subject to approval
  • Learning & development stipend - Support for courses, certifications, and conference attendance
  • Monthly wellness allowance - For coffee, snacks, gym memberships, books, courses, and more
  • Annual company retreat - Connect with the entire team in person
  • Conference attendance - We'll cover approved industry events

Requirements

  • Must be based in British Columbia and eligible to work in Canada
  • Available for daily standups and core collaboration hours (9am-12pm PST)
