Full job description

Infosys is seeking a Senior Java Microservices Developer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Mississauga, Ontario or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 5 years of Information Technology experience and IT release and change management.

  • Strong experience with change control systems and release management tools.
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, service lifecycle, and change management frameworks.
  • Experience in owing and leading the release and change management process, including developing and maintaining release and change processes, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Experience in coordinating release scheduling, communication, and progress updates with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Develop and manage release packages, including risk assessment and planning.
  • Experience in evaluating risks to service integrity (availability, performance, security, compliance) and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, project managers, service teams, and business units.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in all stages of SDLC life cycle and technical exposure in Java based applications.
  • Train and mentor team members on change and release management best practices.

    The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Extensive travel may be required as per client and project needs.
    Estimated annual compensation range for the candidate based in the below location will be:
    Ontario: $ 92,740 to $ 123,375.
