About The Role:

Civida is searching for a permanent, full-time Insurance Claims and Internal Controls Analyst. This role plays a critical role in strengthening the organization’s financial integrity, risk governance, and operational accountability. The position independently manages insurance claims from intake through resolution, leads internal control reviews, and supports risk and governance activities by transforming data and observations into actionable insights that inform decision-making and reduce organizational exposure. Salary: Starting from $81,017.41 per annum

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review, and validate incident and claims documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to submission.
  • Maintain comprehensive claims files and documentation that t evidentiary, legal, insurer, and audit requirements.
  • Track claim progress, deadlines, recovery status, deductibles, and insurer obligations to ensure timely resolution.
  • Coordinate with internal staff, insurers, adjusters, and legal counsel to gather information and support claims resolution.
  • Assess claims data for potential exposure, coverage gaps, inconsistencies, or escalating risks.
  • Escalate complex, high-risk, or high‑impact claims with supporting analysis and recommended next steps to the Manager.
  • Maintain and enhance claims tracking tools and reporting dashboards, including claim aging, cycle time, and recovery status.
  • Lead or support execution of internal control reviews in alignment with the annual internal controls review plan.
  • Develop review scopes, testing methodologies, control documentation, and sampling approaches based on identified risks and process complexity.
  • Conduct walkthroughs with process owners, gaining an in‑depth understanding of workflows, controls, and risk points.
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of information related to enterprise risk management (ERM) activities.
  • Prepare decision‑ready reports, summaries, and briefing notes for senior leadership, risk committees, and governance bodies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce/Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Legal Studies, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and directly related experience may be considered
  • CIA, CRM, CIP, CPA, or other relevant audit, insurance, or risk management certification is required.
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in at least two of the following: internal controls/testing, audit/compliance, insurance claims management, risk management, finance operations, legal/contract administration.
  • Experience providing advice, guidance, or consultative support to senior leaders or cross‑functional management teams.
  • Experience preparing high‑quality analytical reports, findings, and governance‑level documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to assess evidence, identify root causes, and translate issues into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong writing skills with ability to develop clear findings, briefs, and leadership‑ready correspondence.
