We are seeking a certified teacher with strong mathematics expertise and experience working with high school students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to support a small group of students enrolled in online learning programs. This is not a traditional learning support or supervision role. We are specifically seeking an experienced educator who can provide authentic teaching, meaningful instructional interactions, and individualized academic coaching that extends beyond the online coursework environment. The successful candidate will work in person with approximately 4–6 high school students who benefit from direct teacher interaction, relationship-based instruction, accountability, and responsive teaching practices tailored to neurodiverse learners.

Strong mathematics expertise is essential. The successful candidate must have confidence teaching and explaining secondary-level mathematics concepts and adapting instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.Equally important is experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The ideal candidate understands the importance of relationship-building, emotional regulation, flexibility, and individualized approaches to instruction. Soft skills are critical in this role — particularly the ability to recognize when students need to be pushed academically and when they require support, redirection, or space.

  • independence and self-advocacy
  • Identify and address foundational skill gaps

Preparation may include designing individualized support plans or small-group learning opportunities based on student progress and engagement.
  • Monday: 9:00–10:30 PM — In-person group and individual instruction focused on direct mathematics teaching, guided problem solving, concept reinforcement, extension activities, and individualized student support.
