Your Opportunity:
It is an exciting time to join our Human Resources Business Partnerships (HRBP) team in Health Shared Services as we work together to empower our employees and establish a culture where our people feel safe, healthy and valued. This is the opportunity to work with some of the best HR professionals in Canada with the country’s largest and most progressive health authority. Our HRBP team has a number of HR Advisor positions in a variety of sites across the province to support our organization. Whether you are an urbanite or prefer the peaceful rural communities, our HRBP team has the opportunity for you! Interested in relocating to Alberta? Come live, work, and play in our province rich with beautiful landscapes, diverse culture and communities, and boundless economic opportunities. As the HRBP team operates in a hybrid working environment, the successful candidate must be able to attend their client sites and ideally reside within the corridor they support. We are seeking individuals with HR Advisor or Generalist experience to be responsible for providing proactive HR consultation, recommendations, and services to leaders.
You will work with a high degree of independence and in collaboration with HR Specialists and Centres of Expertise to plan and implement HR processes that complement related policies, legislation, and collective agreements. We are proud to be Canada’s first and largest fully integrated provincial healthcare system, serving 4.4 million Albertans. We have been recognized as a top employer for our efforts to create an innovative and diverse workplace that values the contributions of our employees. We offer competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits for the health and well-being of you and your family. Join our HRBP team and help us make a difference in the lives of Albertans.
Description:
The HR Advisor works to ensure HR values, goals and principles are implemented and integrated in the delivery of HR services for all leaders, employees, physicians and volunteers. The successful candidate will support clients by advising, coordinating, coaching and providing recommendations on a variety of human resource functions and related operations. Clients consist of unionized and non-union employee workforce, so you will need to be familiar with processes for both employee groups. You will have a strong understanding of employee and labor relations; performance management; ability management; grievance management; and interpretation of collective agreements. You will also provide consultation on talent management, job classification and compensation in addition to other related HR tasks, duties and responsibilities. As the HR Advisor, and with the support and mentorship of the HRBP team, you will provide HR expertise to your assigned clients by advising, coordinating, coaching, and providing strategic direction on a variety of human resource functions with an enhanced focus on workforce initiatives and people management as it relates to investigations, performance management, grievances, and conflict resolution, as well as support of workforce related initiatives. In order to be effective in this role, you will have a proven track record of fostering and maintaining positive and collaborative relationships with team members, operational leaders, HR networks, Centres of Expertise, and Union Representatives. You are adaptable with the ability to prioritize and multitask while working effectively both independently and in collaboration with others in a fast-paced and progressive environment. You will interpret client needs, assess requirements and identify solutions to non-standard issues and requests including engagement of HR specialists as required.
