Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Coordinator to manage and optimize inventory levels across our operations.

Inventory Management & Control

  • Maintain and adjust inventory levels by establishing and refining replenishment matrix.
  • Monitor inventory gaps and proactively address stock deficiencies seasonally and year round.
  • Maintain sufficient stock in Rankin Inlet to enable rapid dispatch to Arviat as required.
  • Refine and optimize stock profiles as accurate usage and consumption data becomes available.
  • Physically receive product into Store ERP assuring all items are accurately received and sold.
  • Ensure all items are properly labelled, stocked on shelf and identified according to replenishment matrix

Procurement & Purchasing Coordination

  • Liaise with the Winnipeg Purchasing team for intercompany procurement needs for both communities.
  • Consolidate purchasing activities where possible to maximize cost savings.
  • Ensure intercompany transactions are managed at established margins and billed out correctly by sku to create accurate data points.

Maintenance & Trade Support

  • Receive parts requests from Maintenance and Properties personnel.
  • Process orders submitted via email and/or a future internal ordering system.
  • Act as a “personal shopper” for trade staff by:
  • Pre‑picking required parts
  • Ensuring parts and materials are ready upon crew arrival
  • Billed out correctly by sku and account
  • Improve work efficiency and reduce lost time for trades through proactive parts readiness.

Inventory Strategy Development

  • Assist in accurately identifying and classifying:
  • Core “must‑have” inventory items
  • Items best managed through special‑order processes
  • Seasonal needs and spikes
  • Develop data‑driven inventory lists with appropriate quantities.
  • Establish a strong inventory foundation to support future CANBAN or similar inventory management systems.

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
