Role: Field Service Technician - Ambulance and Specialty Vehicle Repair
Location: Central Ontario (Remote, with extensive travel within Ontario and periodic travel to other locations as assigned)
Schedule: Full Time, Monday to Friday

As a Field Service Technician, you will perform hands on mechanical and electrical diagnosis, repair, and service on ambulances and specialty vehicles at customer sites, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to safety standards. Your role will involve meticulous attention to detail, a commitment to excellence, and a dedication to fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the technical support domain. This is a highly independent, customer facing role that requires extensive travel and strong technical expertise, paired with excellent communication and service skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Field Service Technician, you will:
  • Deliver comprehensive on-site service and repairs for a diverse range of vehicles, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
  • Engage with customers to provide timely service quotes and follow-ups, ensuring a seamless service experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Warranty Administration, to document service issues and facilitate warranty cost recovery.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of service protocols, aligning with business objectives and customer needs.
QUALIFICATIONS

As the Field Service Technician, you will bring:
  • 3–5 years of hands on vehicle, equipment, or mechanical repair experience in a service environment, ideally in a customer facing role.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Strong working knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, parts manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Comfort using computers and standard business software (Microsoft Office).
Exceptional candidates will have:
  • Experience as an Automotive Technician, RV Technician, or similar role.
  • Experience servicing light or medium duty vehicles.
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting experience.
  • ODP (Ozone / Refrigerant Handling) certification.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems or technical training platforms.
