Machine Operator

TASKS

• Operate hot wire expanded polystyrene foam slabbing machine and hot wire drop trimming machine.
• Proficient use of a tape measure
• Read and interpret information recorded in English, Imperial and Metric measurements.
• Thorough understanding of Technical Service Bulletin # 7 – Hot Wire Cutting – BASF.
• Understand how to cut maximum yield from blocks of Polystyrene foam.
• Properly mark all material.
• Ensure orders are packaged and labeled as per the Order instructions and/or the
• Packaging Instructions Sheet.
• Report to the Cutting Supervisor on any daily/specific problems.
• Maintain a clean working area around their equipment.
• Maintain equipment in good working order
• Assist on the contour cutter when required.
• May be required to work unsupervised.
• Complete understanding of the Quality Assurance Manual and the Systems Procedures as it pertains to the job.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Have some experience in operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing atmosphere or equivalent.
• Must have at least basic knowledge of computers.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Must be able to lift up to 55-65 pounds periodically and be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must have transportation to our manufacturing plant in Headingley Manitoba (no bus service to Headingley MB). Just out side of perimeter about 5 miles west

REMUNERATION / TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Pay rate: starting at $18.50 plus .50cent evening premium with the opportunity to increase based on performance
