Clean Service jobs

The Starbank Group of Companies is seeking an experienced superintendent to manage 2 retail commercial shopping centres in Ottawa (2148 Carling Ave, and 515 Somerset St W). You will work under our property manager to ensure the common areas, buildings and building systems are kept clean, and will escort trades people who will carry out repairs and maintenance.

You will be responsible for all day to day activity at the site and in particular you will be expected to address tenant inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner and oversee and communicate with contractors. We need a responsible, consistent, proactive, high-energy, and hard-working person with good communication skills. our schedule will be approximately 48 hours per week, including working every other weekend. You must be available to respond to after hours’ emergencies which may occur once every 4 months on average.

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

• You will be on site at the plaza at 7:00am each morning, including weekends, to carry out the following duties: Pick up litter from the ground; Visit approx. 20 tenants of the plaza; Check for illegally parked vehicles; Cut grass and remove weeds; Check for non-functioning parking lot lights; Check mechanical/electrical rooms; Maintain cleanliness of vacant spaces such as cleaning windows; Minor repairs such as temporarily filling pot holes with gravel; Change light bulbs; Communicate with service providers (electrician, plumber, fire sprinkler etc); Gauge the quality of the snow removal contractor's work; Attend during heavy snow storms to ensure the snow removal contractor performs their duties; Inspect the roof and clean drains; Ensure garbage bins are picked up on schedule and kept clean and tidy; Provide daily reports to the office. Experience:

• property superintendent: 3 years (preferred)
