Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities through effective maintenance and repair of equipment and systems. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Maintenance Technician will also play a key role in process improvement initiatives and may be involved in project management tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular building inspections and document findings.
  • Complete weekly and monthly preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety equipment.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from tenants and property management.
  • Perform minor repairs and general maintenance as required.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors and service providers.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and inspection logs.
  • Identify potential building issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and building regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Building Operator, Maintenance Technician, Facilities Technician, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial building operations and maintenance practices.
  • Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and perform minor repairs independently.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to work in dependently or as part of a team
  • Willingness to be on call
