About Us

We are an independent property owner and manager overseeing a portfolio of approximately 120 residential and commercial units across 13 properties in the Montreal area.

Our buildings are located primarily between the South Shore (Longueuil) and the West Island of Montreal.

We are looking for a highly capable and reliable Senior Handyman / Maintenance Technician to handle repairs, maintenance, and small renovation projects across the portfolio.

This role is best suited for someone with strong all-around construction and maintenance experience who is comfortable working independently and solving problems without constant supervision. We are looking for someone practical, resourceful, and mechanically inclined who takes pride in doing quality work.

The position involves regular travel between buildings and includes a wide variety of repair and maintenance tasks. This is not a superintendent or primarily administrative role — the position is focused heavily on hands-on repair work and building maintenance.

  • Carry out basic to intermediate electrical work including replacing outlets, switches, breakers, lighting fixtures, thermostats, and troubleshooting minor electrical issues
  • Complete drywall repairs, plastering, painting, caulking, and finishing work
  • Perform minor carpentry work including doors, locks, trim, cabinets, framing repairs, and hardware installation
  • Handle minor masonry and exterior repairs including small brick or concrete repairs when needed
  • Repair and replace flooring, tiles, and other finishing materials
  • Install appliances and complete unit turnovers between tenants
  • Perform preventative maintenance throughout the buildings
  • Identify maintenance problems early and recommend practical solutions

Building Operations

  • Respond to urgent maintenance issues such as leaks, heating problems, electrical failures, or other emergencies
  • Conduct inspections of units, common areas, and building systems
  • Coordinate with outside contractors for larger or specialized work when required
  • Maintain organized tools, materials, and work areas
  • Assist with maintaining clean and professional common areas when needed
  • Communicate clearly with ownership regarding repairs, material needs, and building conditions

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong hands-on experience in general building maintenance and repairs
  • Is confident handling a wide variety of repair tasks without supervision
  • Can troubleshoot problems efficiently and find practical solutions
  • Takes pride in doing clean, solid, long-lasting work
  • Is dependable, organized, and self-motivated
  • Is comfortable working in occupied residential buildings and interacting professionally with tenants
  • Understands how to prioritize urgent repairs and emergencies
  • Wants a stable, long-term position

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in handyman work, building maintenance, renovations, or construction
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and general repairs

  • Basic knowledge of masonry, concrete, or exterior repair work is an asset
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
  • Ability to travel regularly between buildings located between the South Shore (Longueuil) and the West Island of Montreal
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience and abilities
  • Stable, year-round full-time work - ** Open to part time (3 days per week)

  • Independent work environment with varied daily responsibilities
