Full job description

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years work experience operating CNC machine tools and software
  • Set up and operate 2, 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling machines
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes (live tooling experience preferred)
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other measuring tools
  • Edit and optimize CNC programs (experience with Mastercam or similar CAM software preferred)
  • Select proper tooling and fixtures for efficient production
  • Maintain tight tolerances (±0.0005” where required)
  • Ensure parts meet quality and customer specifications
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments as needed
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment
  • Collaborate with programming and quality teams

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Experience with 2 to 5-axis milling
  • Experience with CNC turning/lathe operations
  • Strong understanding of G-code
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
  • Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, tool steel, and exotic materials preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently

Preferred Experience

  • Aerospace or high-precision manufacturing experience
  • Experience with DMG , and Fanuc or similar machines
  • Experience with fixture design and setup optimization
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
